Considering a Up-skill Position with Titan Technicians? We answer your questions below.
Successful applicants will have:
- Min 3 years post trade experience working as a Heavy or Plant Mechanic or working on Heavy Machinery & Equipment.
- You will hold a Certificate of Proficiency in a Mechanic Trade
- Ability to provide evidence of your post-trade experience for RPL Components.
- Ability to complete the required theory-based learning to complete your Trade Upgrade through our Registered Training Organisation.
OR
You will hold a Cert III in Mobile Plant Technology and just require mine-site experience.
- A career-minded attitude and willingness to learn.

You will be employed by Titan Technicians and start working immediately as an Upskill Plant Mechanic supported by our Team at a leading mine site in the Hunter Valley.
You will be enrolled in the "Plant Pathways" Trade Upskill Program with our Registered Training Organisation and work with them to provide Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and complete any hassle-free Gap Training (only required IF identified through the RPL Process).
We will do a pre-assessment of your current skills and experience to identify any Gap Training that may be required, this will determine the approximate time it will take to complete the Trade Upskill Program, this can vary from 4 weeks to 12 months depending on the outcome of this assessment. You will have an employment contract that secures your employment with Titan for up to 2 years giving you not only support but job security. The details of this will be discussed at your interview.
If you are accepted into our trade upskill program, all costs will be paid by Titan Group saving you thousands of dollars, you will also be fully employed by Titan Technicians giving you financial peace of mind. Other providers charge employees up to $3000 to complete the upskill, choosing to apply through Titan saves you of this costly outlay.
Once you have completed your Trade Upskill you will receive your Certificate of Proficiency in Mobile Plant Technology. You will then meet with our team and discuss your new employment opportunities (if applicable), all our completed Trade Upskill applicants have continued full employment with our Titan Technicians Team, continuing on with successful careers as Plant Mechanics across various Hunter Valley Mine Sites with further benefits such as crew positions, permanent contracts, and vehicles.
